Flight A: "Never Again"
Land Triple with Blind -- Walk-up with Honor

The Never Again venue is on the north side of the creek. It is a land Triple with a Blind and an Honor. This is a walk-up to nearly the edge of a very steep hill down into a large valley. All birds are rooster pheasants, the first of which is a 74 yd dead middle bird, launched from a winger, left to right, into medium cover, at a square angle. The second bird is on the left and is a square throw, left to right, into tall, thick green cover, at 76 yds. The third bird is a 61 yd live shot flier, right to left. The 150 yd blind is between the middle and right marks. All stations are concealed by natural elements.

The meat bee problem that arose yesterday did not cause as much of an issue today. One dog was bitten and is rerunning at 3:45 pm. There are three dogs left to run in this test. This Flight will be starting tomorrow with Dog #101.

FLIGHT A CALLBACKS TO THE 5th SERIES: Dog #5, 7, 10, 16, 18, 19, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 28, 29, 33, 34, 35, 37, 40, 42, 43, 44, 47, 50, 53, 55, 56, 58, 59, 60, 62, 63, 67, 68, 70, 71, 73, 75, 76, 77, 79, 80, 82, 83, 85, 86, 87, 92, 93, 94, 95, 97, 98, 99, 100, 101, 102, 103, 107, 109, 110, 111, 113, 118.
63 dogs called back.

Flight B: "Par 4"
Water Double with Diversion Bird

2 Hours Remaining This Morning...

Two drake mallards are launched from stations on the other side of the water. There is no flyer. The 75-yd memory bird is on the left, and is launched right to left. The 68-yd go-bird is launched left to right. Both land near the water's edge. As the dog is returning with the go-bird, a 40-yd diversion bird is hand thrown from the near shore into the middle of the channel. The handler begins the test seated on a bucket.

Flight B moved to the Oh No test/venue. Dog #35 is running at 4:10 pm. This Flight is behind its intended schedule. The plan now is to run until dark.

As of 4:30 pm, callbacks from the last series are in the process of being validated by the MNRC. As soon as this process is completed, they will be posted.

Flight C: "Bubba's Gone Huntin"
Water Quad with Blind

This is the first and only quad of this year's Master National and the last of its six tests to be revealed. Handlers and spectators found it very exciting, sort of like the the grand finale of a fireworks show. It is easy to forget, for awhile, that this Flight has two more series to run.

The 40 yd left-hand bird is the first down, followed by the long (left-middle) at 80 yds, and the flyer (right-hand) bird at 40 yds. The go-bird is right-middle, at only 40 yds.

The 124 yd blind is by invitation.

Frank Barton reports there have been four Breaks and three Pick Ups. Of the Pick Ups, one was the handler's decision, one was the Judge's decision (no invitation to the blind) and one was a "Woof" directed at the Bubba Gunner by one very startled dog.

The gallery must watch this series from a distance.

Flight C is expected to finish this series today. Callbacks may not be available until after the Frank's Party, scheduled to begin at 6 pm.

Dog #56, after an outstanding job on the marks. Behind the
handler is the end of the pond where the flyers are falling.

Shows Bubba Gunner, hunkered down in the foreground,
at the base of the levy. Bird is launched from the boat.
